Calculateur VAT suisse

How to calculate Swiss VAT
Two directions, depending on whether you start from a net price or a gross price.
Add VAT (net to gross). You multiply the net amount by 1 plus the rate. At the standard rate of 8.1%:
Remove VAT (gross to net). You divide the gross amount by 1 plus the rate. The VAT is the difference:
For another rate, replace 0.081 with the rate you want (for example 0.026 for 2.6%, 0.038 for 3.8%).

Who has to charge VAT?
In Switzerland, VAT registration becomes mandatory once your annual turnover from taxable services reaches CHF 100,000. Below that threshold, you can register voluntarily, which lets you reclaim the input tax paid on your purchases.
Once registered, you charge VAT to your clients and file a return with the Federal Tax Administration, usually every quarter. This calculator helps you quickly find the net, the VAT or the gross of an amount, but it does not replace personalised tax advice.
